Since 1992, UMGC’s Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund has been helping make it possible for part- or full-time students to earn their degrees. By awarding scholarships of up to $2,000, this fund is helping ease the financial burden on students so they can focus on what matters: their education.

Donor Spotlight: Jim Payne ’10, ’13, ’14

For Jim Payne ’10, ’13, ’14, a college education used to feel out of reach. After all, he was serving on active duty in the United States Navy, with much of that time at sea. Still, he held this goal close to his heart, and it helped him discover a calling: supporting students who, like him, were determined to continue their education. He chose to give back through a financial commitment to UMGC, contributing to the University’s Veterans Assistance Fund and UMGC’s Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund.
